Re-tooling for Climate Change |
|
As a part of the Government's $240 million Clean Business Australia initiative there is a program to help small and
medium sized Australian manufacturers reduce their environmental footprint.
The Re-tooling for Climate Change program focuses on projects that improve the energy and/or water
efficiency of the production processes. Manufacturers can apply for grants
of between $10,000 and $500,000, up to a maximum of half of the cost of
each project.
There has already been a number of rounds of grants. The current rounds are open until 30 November 2009 and then the next round until 22 March 2010.
The Ausindustry website has information on agreements, guidelines and applications forms. Decision Resources believe the energy reduction and CO2 emissions reporting capability of Greentrac could be a decisive factor for a manufacturer wishing to apply for a such a grant.
If you want to reduce energy, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and quantify the actual benefits that can be realised, please contact the Ausindustry hotline or if we can be of service contact Decision Resources .
